The camera is a sealed one-piece unit from Oregon Scientific that cost me $100 at REI. Yes, it's a narrow angle lens, but the video quality is great. To get any sort of sensation of speed with a narrow angle, you have to cock it to a side.
Fix it:

If you have the newer model, the ATC3K it has a better lens already, but you could still add a fisheye lens to it, I believe. SunPro makes some easily adaptable lenses, I found one that fit my cheap Target camera.
I fixed mine in a similar way and the results aren't bad:

Finally, your car is all sorts of awesome. Maybe when you re-shell it, you'll find a wagon instead? I loved the BTCC wagons, a Rally wagon of your series would be pretty cool.

Thanks for the links! I'm going to check this out. I have a fisheye Swann lens, hopefully it will adapt.
The car isn't mine, it's John Lane's. You know what they say about codriving: all the spills without the bills.
Anywho, my girlfriend just turned all her footage from the weekend into a rally video!

Yay!
really nice video. Theres a good breadth and depth of rally participants out in the west. I am jealous. Reminds me of when I crewed Maine in 2003.

Awesome video! And I'm glad everyone is ok! I have yet to go to a RallyAmerica event, just a bunch of southeast NASA Rallysport/USRC stuff.
My wife grew up in Aberdeen...Scotland. Seems like the weather is the same in Aberdeen, Washington as it is in Scotland, haha.
