Read his autobiography a few years ago. Quite a guy.
Since I recently reread Unfair Advantage I was thinking about getting that book - then I saw the price.
1955 was a terrible year for racing, then I was born. 
Pretty sure he was in a couple of the Mexican Road Races as well with other family members.
Funny, I'm reading BS Levy's The Fabulous Trash Wagon and just finished the chapter at the Indy 500 a couple days ago.
Never heard of Vukovich until then because I'm not well versed in Indy.
