I kinda like the looks of it, but I heard from sources (autoblog), that it wasn't coming stateside. maybe the canucks will get another cool thing that we cant.

It also appears the VW has a solid rear axle so it might even be a real truck. VW also makes lots of diesels. I would love a diesel compact pickup to come on the market. I've heard about the Mahrinda (sp?) truck but I don't know if it will actually make it here.

A local dealer has the Mid Michigan rights to Mahindras truck once they gain import authorization. They are prepping to build a big garage on Pennsylvania Avenue.

It seems like the last trunk Mahrinda made wasn't very good. It made it in a book I have of the world's worst cars because it feel apart so quickly.

Really? That's some bad history there, hopefully they've fixed the build quality issues. 35 mpg from a 4X4 with some serious torque (300 ft lbs) makes me very happy.
