We had one that looked identical to this growing up and it was my parent's first new car; my first car too. So many memories (cross country trips, high school shenanigans, etc). It got donated to the HS auto shop class in 1993 after my sister bounced it off of several trees during a thunderstorm - she was unhurt. I'd love to find a restorable one.

Those are not box flares.

These are box flares:

(WRX sedans had flared fenders, wagons did not. Some people do some artistic cutting and splicing to put sedan quarters on wagons. Knurled-approved! It's a shame this particular one is de-grilled and has all-clear headlights, which takes away from the overall effect)

Not to get off the subject, but that Subaru hardly has box flares. These are proper box flares:

Now back to the regularly scheduled wagon thread.

Now I feel like I should show a box flared wagon, so here you go. ... . ... .

I'm still considering building something like this, but in Sapphire Blue...

So far, the E30 Touring is my favorite. The Falcon woody is damn nice too.

I thought the '!' button was used to denote a happy feeling. But no. so I just un happied a bunch of cool wagons and accused them of being spam. Regrets.

So this is what I get when I ask Google for "box flare wagon." Not what I was hoping for.

Meh, it's a Volvo therefore a box. And it has flared fenders. Close enough for me.

Nah, it's cool. But the Subaru box flares are much more boxy-flare-esque than the cone flares on that Volvo...

The Honda Crosstour is a bit of an abomination for marketing sake, but it does look better when some Acura TL suspension bits & HPD wheels are swapped in:
