The rumor is that the new CTS will not have a coupe or wagon. In my opinion is someone pushed a 35mpg "big wagon" out and sold it to the greenies that need a high efficiency 6/7 passenger (Impala, Lacrosse and XTS wagon specifically) that could a great open market that is currently riddled with tall SUVs. The fact that they tall SUVs are getting so much more expensive means there is a profit potential.

The problem is, the people who drive tall SUVs tend to drive them because they want a tall SUV, not a car.

Typical reasoning is "I feel safer".

Like anything else, I think SUVs are reaching the end of their design lifetime. They are getting more and more extreme and eventually there will be a pushback

Seriously drool. If I can't find a decent wagon in my price range I'll just shoot for one with a 3L and manual transmission.
