Intermediate class (my first time as intermediate).... my little CRX should prove to be the slowest one there.... but that's ok, I'll just keep a close watch on my mirrors...

I teched your car! My brother asked you what series motor you were running. Cool car! I joked with you that your car might weigh too much to get on track after checking out the weight savings efforts.

Cya in the paddock! I'm driving a white '92 Miata. #77.

what a blast

this is my 4th and 5th days on track at VIR and it only gets better and better.... the only issue with the car is a very soft brake pedal ... re-bled them slight improvement... by the time to drive home had very little brakes...

fresh fluid (ATE blue) pads ~3/8s of an in"... (BHP autocross compound), I may have fried them.... I have some new Carbotech XP 8'S I'll put on this morning... the only other thing I can think of is maybe the master cylinder is slowly dying...

strange.... get in car this morning to reposition for pad surgery... and the pedal is high and hard.... (vacuum assist) even with the engine running the pedal had more feel and was higher than last night coming home from the track...???

Autocross compound is not the best for track use.

SOrry I don't know squat about CRXs but it sounds like a brake booster problem.

new pads in.... finished bedding them ( a nice country / back rd where the neighbors don't seem to mind.... too much) pedal feel is back car is stopping... old pads seem a bit more worn than I thought when viewing them in the calipers.... think ~ 1/16 in"...

should be ok now... auto-x wed nite I'll know more then

bet I'll pull them out next time that I suspect a problem and actually look at them

Great meeting you at the track btw. Keep us informed of what you find out.

My last track day with PCA I had the brakes going away in the 2nd session. I bled them and that fixed but it I would be interested in what your solution is to this issue.

I'll know more after the auto-x Wed nite , but it seems as though it's nothing more than a pad problem

As I said I thought I had more pad than I actually had... visual inspection without actually removing them isn't the way to go.... next time the pads will come out before I decide to change / not change...

p.s. ya it's always great to meet those you've been corresponding with and not knowing ...

did you stick around for the last 2 run times (for us interm.) I didn't see you anywhere.... the rains left, # 3 was great... #4 the blue Subie (w/the taped up head lights) blew up (right beside me between 1 and 3)

one thought on the 2 day track day... I noticed that the flaggers had no problem showing the blue , move over, flag to me.... with reason of course...

but not once did they show the move over flag to anyone I was catching.....

just because I shouldn't be catching a C4 or a 350z doesn't mean I shouldn't get the same consideration ....

rant over
