Was he legally required to put the ridiculous plastic covers over the motor? They look way out of place on a 1990 Miata.
Other then that, very cool (although it seemed to be wildly complicated) project.

I read the Jalponik story the other day. It is a good story and seems like a cool car.
One of my objections to rotary swaps is that IN MY OPINION they look like ass. That cover is MUCH worse.
I think a Renesis Miata is a fantastic idea. The Miata needs a lighter, higher-revving engine, and the RX-8 needs a big honking V8.
It's like the engine swap circle of life.

Really, man you had to pick out something to nitpick on this project? I didn't care for the cover when I had my RX-8, but man does it complete the swap on this one. Looks completely factory to me, and that is how swaps should look.
