They never do in any of the episodes, they just drive up to the tent with them and that's it. I'd like to see features on them as well, some of the cars they drive in the opening are pretty cool.

Nope, they just drive up in locally produced cars. Wish they would feature the AC, ive only ever seen a couple in the wild.

I'm just amazed they found running biturbos to use.

I wish I didn't have to turn the sound off when The Redneck does the drive. I'd really liked to have heard the 124 Abarth's exhaust. The Maserati bit was great, like the old days.

Watching the BiTurbo episode now. Love the helpful steering aids for May .

I agree about The Redneck; he reminds me of this guy I work with, in a non-flattering way.

You know I am starting to warm up to the celebrity brain crash. It I so stupid it is funny.

Kind of like the movie attack of the killer tomatoes. You would never say it is a good movie but it still makes you laugh.

So bad it I goid comes to mind.

F.ing Austria is real as is Wedding Germany. I'm sure the rest are. I still think it is just OK in most ways compared to TG of old but the Launch control segment had me in tears.

Agreed. I can't disagree that it's not a very useful feature in most cases.

I can kinda agree, it's getting kinda to the point where it leaves you waiting to find out "what's going to kill the guy this time?"

This week's episode is great. As good as anything they did a long time ago on a network far far away. Love the way Jeremy starts off the SUV segment as the straight man for a change. I'm really impressed with the Americans driving. He seems far more controlled in dampy tricky transitions than the Stig(s) ever were and his shtick is growing on me. Im was even looking forward to seeing what they dreamed up for the celeb brain crash but was sure we see a flash of tail or fin before the end. I wonder who was driving in the quarry section because it certainly wasn't them. A professional rally driver i guess. They never get tired of making German jokes do they.

I thought there were only 12 episodes this season but the didn't finish it like it was the last one did they?

Ive been searching for James' Blue squares jacket with no luck. If i can find it for less than $200 im getting one.

He wore that jacket on the last Top Gear where they showed the remaining clips....

I forgot about the launch control bit. That was really funny. My son and I watched the episode last night as he was in bed when I watched it Thursday night. I was in tears as the 911 left the drive through coffee place.

If you freezeframe several times during the Bentayga run, you can see that it really is James. Not sure about Richard, as the tint on that Jag was pretty dark.

I don't buy it. That was some pretty hardcore driving in an environment with a lot of stuff to hit in some very expensive vehicles. My bet would be that they dressed up stunt drivers to look like the hosts.

No matter. That slow-motion shot of the Bentley cresting the ridge and getting all 4 wheels off the ground was sheer poetry.

with all the performance driving those guys do i assume they don't suck at car control, might be them doing it. I doubt they did a single full bore timed lap (every wide shot never shows camera men standing at all the corners) but i bet they could handle going around a single corner for the camera a few times at high speed.

Value of the cars has zero impact. They are supplied by the manufacturers and unlike your average magazine article, the international audience these three get is so huge their is almost nothing they could do that would be bad advertising.

I agree it was probably them. Camera angles and editing can make it look like they were pushing it more than they probably were.

I was also surprised there was no mention of it being the last episode of the series. Maybe the Africa two parter counts as one? They did show both on the same weekend...

It isn't. They're going to be in Dubai next week. That's the finale.

I have to say, I have really been enjoying the show. They've gotten back into their old roles a bit and it doesn't seem as forced. Also the production has gotten better in my eyes, I still don't love the "American" but damned if he doesn't know how to drive an Abarth 124 spider in the rain.

The american needs better lines. Some of them sound like what an englishman thinks a nascar driver would say... Let the dude adlib...
