"Most Catastrophic Failure" it is still a trophy
Who has not fired up their car yet? My engine is still on the stand and I have to finish modifying the intake manifold to fit.
Mine fired with a mock up motor to confirm my wiring was correct. Dropped the challenge engine in it on Saturday...hope to have it fired today.
I guess i kinda lied earlier. I drove mine to work and used it as a truck this weekend. Just like every other day for the last 4.5 years.
But i still have to pull the motor out of it.
Engine has not left the Jeep but the manifolds and turbo are still sitting in the back of it with intercooler pipes scattered about plus the rear suspension is all apart. It’s supposed to be at an autocross this coming Sunday…

Say what?!

Yeah that's not going to happen.
Engine is running, just got to paint, reassemble, finish wiring, tune, bleed brakes, paint and clean interior.
and fix the trailer
I still have to drive to Indy and drink Swank's beer while he works on this heap that I'll be driving.
oh yeah, change springs, remount seat correctly, hide wiring, work out hood pins, trunk pins, find a way to mount tow straps, build hood/trunk pins and tow straps..
Dropped engine and Trans in. Figured out the alt and power steering brackets. Pulled the wiring ( glad I did ) found several spliced wires. Have to draw out a new diagram.

You can fix this stuff while on the road.

I usually do
I spent the last week working on our "sell off" instead of working on the car. (I did make a pretty fun steering wheel cover.) We are about $53 from the sell off maximum, and I hope to take care of that this weekend.
Man I hate the sell off part, but you gotta do it.
Sunday is a planned work day. We still need to finish hooking up the Nitrous, and a bunch of little items like the window net.
Oh, and we need to test drive the valve cover racers. They are basically built, but they need to go straight. One has adjustable steering. The other can adjust the steering and wheel height. (I could lift one wheel if the rules allowed.)
Anyone notice that Pat actually wins this thing, but that is Not the car in his avatar. Hmmm.

I'm not following...
Your avatar looks like the Shadow, but you won with the Aries.
So I assume there is special pride in the Shadow.?
