So...this weekend (25th/26th June, 2011 -for future references) I have a problem trying to decide which of these to go to:
- Indy Ford and Mustang car show/ swap meet. I'm back looking into my V8 project and Mustangs are at the front of my list. This would be a great show for ideas and vendor information. Also a great venue since this is where the Nationals are help and I haven't been back there for probably 30 or more years. About 2.5 hours west.
2: Mid-Ohio SVRA event. This year the featured marque is Porsche with a British Car Show thrown in. Has to be a lot of great new and old Porsches here in the parking lot and on the track. I've been to Mid-Ohio every year for probably 10+ years and it's a great place to be combning a park-like atmosphere with car on and off the track. About 2 hours north east of me.
The thought of going to both has crossed my mind, but usually the one trip to Mid-Ohio is an all day affair and wears me out ...
Any thoughts? Anyone going to one or the other?

If you are seriously looking at starting a new project, then go to the Mustang show. Get some inspiration and build up some enthusiasm. Old Porsches and LBCs are cool, but if you're not looking at them from a project standpoint, it's kind of a clinical exercise.
Go to the mustang swap meet. You could pick up some cheap parts to help get you started.
Mustang. And find me a budget 302. I'm planning on using one for the challenge. Not this one, the next.
Looks like the Mustang show has the voter's approval (and it makes sense). I talked to one of my basketball buddies last night and he wants to go to a more local Mustang show (30 minutes away) on Sunday, so I'll probably end up doing both.
Anyone here going to either the Mustang/Ford show or Mid-Ohio?
