We don't have kids, so I get to assume that role here by default. I'm not so good at drawing, but I here's a doodle that I just made of a 1930s car. That's supposed to look like a straight pipe and the air clearners for a pair of SU carbs.

Is the lamp in that pic made from angle iron?!?!?
Door hinge pins for stacks. He made it with my dad, dad made a sled with runners for the table saw so the kids can safely cut stuff. It's just a square lampshade, but an angle iron lamp would fit with my dad being able to make just about anything. Now i kinda want to make a lamp.

No kids here, but I'll post up a pic of my 1/24 scale Ferrari F430 in progress. Just waiting on good weather so I can paint the body.
sleepykid#1 caught me watching vintage f1 cars driving around monza, particularly a Tyrell P34... and when this thread came up, he decided he wanted to draw 'an 8-wheeled race car', and drew this one based on some weird hack jobs we found searching for 8-wheeled cars
Here's my younger daughter with her contribution:
They were doing a unit on Futurism in art class, and this was her concept.
A close-up:
She says in her mind she started with a Mustang for the general shape, but then just took it in her own direction. I particularly like the stars.

I posted a photo of my drawing--the one on the Manila envelope--to Instagram, and someone asked what it's supposed to be. Cobra Daytona? Z-car? Jaguar?
To be honest, I drew the wheels and the bottom of the body. Then I paused: Doh, which way is this thing even going to point? And what exactly am I trying to draw?
So, really, it's just a generic car. I guess my main thought was, I gotta draw something quickly so I can post it. I spent more time looking for the silver Sharpie. (Turns out it was in my backpack, not the camera bag or even my desk.)
Anyway, let's keep that artwork coming.
