Went out to move the i3 from the charger at work over lunch. It had been raining on the drive in, then the temperature dropped into the teens. 

Charging cable locking pin was totally iced up, resulting in the car being tethered to the charger. 

At the end of the day with some hand tools from my desk (ok, a Leatherman) finally broke it loose to free the car and drive home. 

After some time in the garage with a heat gun to device everything the locking pin now cycles again. 

Did pull the end off of the manual release cable while trying to get the car free though.

Heck, this is shirtsleeve weather. I saw -37F on the drive in to work last week.

I have had doors freeze shut.. but I never expected the power cord to an electric car to do so. You would think the current draw would keep it warm enough to be ice free
