Dang! That is a beautiful car. A friend of mine just had a daughter, and named her Isabella. I told him I would get her a Borgward Isabella for her 16th birthday. Maybe more like 30th birthday, don't wanna see it wrecked.

Let's see, I also know of a Nash Metropolitan, a land speed record Model T, a Fiat Spider, an MGA, several MGBs, a Saab 96, at least two Morris Minors and a Nissan pickup. That's off the top of my head, I'm sure I've missed a couple.

All Miata powered? I can picture all of them except the Saab.

I'm still waiting to see (or own) a Miata powered Elan. It just seems like such an obvious swap.

All Miata powered, yes. In some cases (the MGA, the Saab, the Nissan and the Minors) they also have Miata subframes underneath. Well, mostly underneath in the case of the MGA.

The Saab is a brand new project, actually. The shell is getting sawed up as we speak.
