We're headed north for the weekend to enjoy some SCCA autocross action at one of their Match Tour events. Art Director JG Pasterjak will be taking to the concrete at Spence Field in Moultrie, Georgia, in his fast and loud Formula 500 autocrosser. Want to hang out with us? Come on by.

I was there last weekend with the Mumpkin and the FL gang.

Don't think I can make it this week.

I wondered if they ever raced there any more. This is one of those former AFBs that SCCA raced at the the old days.

Dixie SCCA runs there regularly. It has an interesting history, all the way back to a single engine training field during WWII. It's used a lot for ag purposes now.

They are about to triple the size of the track area, so it should be fun.

It's pretty close to me.

Not quite triple, unless you know something I don't, but considerably increase. It's extremely Nebraska-like concrete. Awesome Nationals practice. And the Dixie folks are good people.

I'll have a GRM-themed tent with me so I'll be easy to spot if anyone want to say hi. I usually have lovely prizes to share with nice folks.

I only know what Arty showed me. I guessed, but that is what I do for a living, so I am usually pretty good at guessing.

But no, I didn't measure it. I could be wrong. I trust you (though I trust Arty more).

Will do. He might be co-driving if he can't get his car back together. Although it didn't look too terrible. Burned up a rectifier, which should be an "any bike shop in town" kind of piece.

And from what I hear from Dixie the planned site expansion hasn't gone through yet. Still an awesome site, but it'll be downright epic once they add more space. I guess there's some fences to move and some cracks to fill before it can be considered truly expanded.

You could change your plans and come to Bristol for the ETR autocross this weekend at Bristol Motorspeedway

Rectifier--he kept calling it a regulator and I was wondering what the heck he was talking about. Gotcha. That makes more sense.

That is a great venue and I've got family in the area but it's about 3 hours one way which ain't gonna happen this weekend. Maybe catch you in the future.

The expansion sounds highly intriguing.

I can't wait to hear the Sledgehammer Mustang when they have that kind of space to open it up.

Rectifier? Damn near killdafier!

That's what it looked like to me, anyway, but I don't know much about 494 charging systems. And he said it still ran without it, which would make sense because it would just be running off of the battery. For a while, anyway.

But I don't know whether that's good for the generator or not, running with no load like that. Me no smart on electrical system. In my world it either works or it doesn't.

I've always wondered if that's the automotive version of the "downward dog". Glad to see you guys still thrashing that thing!

It corners like a Yugo.

Or, like a dog relieving itself.

Same difference. Take your pick.

Methinks you could use a bit more front roll stiffness.
