One just popped up on CL locally. Coming to the Challenge? Take it home!

1-2-3 Slap on new tires, give it a paint job, rebolt the head and there you go, a very fast vintage car on the cheap!

The turbocharged 1965 and '66 production Corsa engines represented the pinnacle of factory performance development from the 164 cubic inch, aluminum alloy, "pancake" Corvair engine. The turbo was rated at 180 horsepower @ 4000 RPM and brought extra high-end performance to the Corsa. This engine is even used to power planes!

Offered for sale here is a rare and complete car with an excellent restoration project potential for the connaisseur. You get many extra parts from 2 other donor cars, the abundance of parts is shown in the pictures including many brand new parts! I lack the indoor space and time to finish this car at the present because I am restoring a vintage saw mill, a F1 pick-up and a tractor. So it must go in a state where it will not draw top dollar but it will keep the wife happy!

To see 24 large pictures go to this website: "globalogy@com/corvair" (change the @ for a dot). This car is also advertised elsewhere, hurry it may go soon.

Even with the body work and the addition of the parts cars, $1500 is still a steal.

Maybe he restores the saw mill, feeds the wife to it, and gets another corvair?

You'll need to log in to post.
