i have done a little more research on this matter and here is the information i have found. it appears most of the honda rear hub assemblies are approximately 1.18" and the couple miatas i found information on were way to large at i think 1.88". there were several hubs that i could not locate any information on inside diameter for so i will try and find a better solution. i did find data that suggest the e36 spindle uses a hub with a i.d. of 37mm or 1.4566" the closest i have found yet that may just work is out a honda accord at approximately 34mm.
now that i have a target measurement maybe someone else may have some information to share.
i have followed up on the hubs mentioned within the thread and have not found a better solution than a 30mm/1.18" i.d. bearing assembly. after finally getting my hands on some knuckles after creating this vision i do not like what i saw. i thought i recalled the spindles being solid, this was likely a figment of my imagination to keep this dream alive, but upon review there is a large part that is hollow. i now have to reconsider how i feel about removing the material to make them work with any number of the 30mm i.d. 4x100mm hubs i have located. in the next couple days i plan on making the knuckles bare so i can better understand what i am working with; still have hubs/rotor/calipers attached.
in the mean time, does anyone else have any hub assembly ideas for 4x100 and spindle type mount?
