I can get 2 or 3 seasons out of a pair of Zamberlin hiking boots. They're the best toughest most waterproof and most comfortable boots I've found yet, and that's sayin something. My screwed up ankle dictates boots, 365/365 for the last 15 years.. Footwear is sorta a cost no object sort of thing for me dammit.

I wear steel toed blundstones. They work really well for me. They are definitely comfortable. I'm not crazy rough on them, but they last a really long time.

Toms.

No, that's not helpful.

For work I get Sketchers. They're comfortable, light, and not too expensive that I feel bad tossing them when they get something disgusting on them.

Do they have to be boots? In my line of work (surgeon), I spend 64-76 hours a week on my feet. I need comfortable, non-slip shoes that are fluid-resistant. Big fan of Birkenstock "Profi" clogs. Great support and all-day comfort. I know cooks and other food service people love them, too.
