Interesting because that body would be fwd originally. Also, that body would be 4 door. My guess is the long front door is taken from the Eldorado that shared the same frame. Rough, but that profile is a good look.
If I remember correctly. That car is actually a 3rd gen Camaro dressed up as a Seville.
The early Sevilles (first one pictured) were X bodies. The later ones (second one pictured) were Eldo/Toro chassis.
All you need to know is where the front wheels are in relation to the bumper ans A-pillar.

Ohhhhh Dam!!! That is sexy!!!!
Current wish list:
- Decrust and powder coated SBlazer chassis. 4 link coilover Ford 8.8" rear with 3.73 gear and a locker. Spindles, springs and tubular front arms for 6" drop. ZQ8 steering gear. Body mounts removed and mount stands added for new body.
- Alloy head SBC, old school hot rod sounding cam, 2.5" duals with X-pipe, FITech EFI, TH700r4, 4.3L converter, electronic actuated shifter.
- Panhard body straightened and de-rusted but only painted to match current patina. Volkswagen Beetle roof rack with luggage. Interior floors and upholstery built. Upholstery from reclaimed black and brown leathers. Black sisal jute carpet, Lanzar amplifiers pushing 4-6.5" component, 2-8" rear deck subs, 2-12" trunk subs all sourced by bluetooth from tablet running Pandora, Torque and GPS to monitor speed and vitals. Mini heat and AC sources from aftermarket.
- 16x8 wheels with custom fitted mini Moon caps running 205/55r16 and 225/50r16s with painted white walls.
A small, high-strung hatchback. Mid or front engine. Rear wheel drive. I've seen a couple Honda N600's that really got me going. You can tell me how impractical it is all you want, but I still love the idea of throwing a sportbike engine in one of these. I've also seen the build thread for the white one with the D-series motor in the back that was in the challenge, and that car is awesome.
Recently sitting at home looking at old car photos I'll have to add an escort too the list. My 91 pony with the 1.8 swap was a blast too drive when it wasn't sitting with broken axles. I'd lik3 another with a mild stereo and decent suspension for a daily.
I WANT to build a MkII Escort with the full Group 4 rally package and a Millington Diamond engine.
I HAVE an RX-3 (same track, similar wheelbase) and access to various "parts" and a knowledge of how to make rotaries sing. Or how to make MZRs sing, that's cheaper but less awesome.
I'm Knurled. I can work with this.

A close second would be a 98 5.9L Grand Cherokee restoration. I fell in love with the screw it attitude of the Jeep engineers who wanted a fast as hell SUV in a time where they werent an option. Really wish Jeep would do an SRT8 with the hood louvers just as a nod to the old 5.9L model.
Was this a one year only thing? I'm assuming that's a Mopar V8?
Yes it was
So how do we identify these in crappy CL ads?

If I ever finish my current projects, I'd love to get a Crown Vic P71, a bunch of Charger body panels and duplicate this with maybe a full stage rally legal cage. Or at least for rally-cross.
I could build all of these if i had the tools.
I don't know if I would do a X275/small tire "stock suspension" class racer or tub it enough to run a 315 with a "real" 4 link. Another would be a definitive big tire no prep drag car.
Can't forget I would have to have a pickup that is stupid and scary fast. I'm thinking like a 1st gen Lightning replica but with a BBF/turbo/T400.
I want to build a ramp truck camper. My wild not even remotely grounded idea is to have the ramp double as a pop up camper. The center section of deck would pop up as a stand up camper, the bunks could be on either side..............all this so I don't have tow a trailer behind my camper van.
The other not realistic project is a replica of a 50s Nissan single seater. It would be very cool but not really eligible to race anywhere or be used at a track day.
Let me add another car I want to build, that I've been itching to build, and probably could do if I had a space to do it in...
A tube chassis Bradley GT. Basically a ghettocet with a Bradley body wrapped over it. Honda Civic engine/front suspension/cradle in back, maybe even another empty Civic cradle up front for ease of (cheap) parts availability. Would make an incredible track toy and have a very classic look. Paint it up with the old Gulf paint scheme, or even put some new super-sparkle gelocat on it... yeah, that's the ticket.

Currently working on one of my dream builds of a minitruck with Corvette suspension. I would love to do another build like my current project but with a C5 transaxle for even better weight balance.
I also have several premeditated builds floating around in my head.
1. Cummins swapped Ford Excursion or 3/4 Ton Suburban - Tow Pig/ Future Family Hauler
2. VW Caddy with a mid-engine W8 mated to a 6 speed Audi transaxle - Because I have an inexplicable curiosity for Germanic weirdness
3. Mitsubishi Mighty Max/ Ram 50 with a small diesel like an ALH TDI as an around town runner. You could get these with small turbo diesels from the factory but they are hard to source parts for and like to crack their cylinder heads
4. S10 ZR5 with a 4BT or Isuzu 4 cylinder diesel - Could easily replace the above listed.
Beige Manual Turbo LS C4 Corvette lowered on deep dish Work VS-KFs
An NA Miata with period-correct JDM modifications
Since I will probably end up being buried in my Porsche 968, my dream build would be replicating what Motor Werks Racing does with 944's (swapping in the lightweight, mega-powerful Audi 1.8T engine) on my 968. 450 hp or so in a ~2500 lb streetable track car would fit the bill nicely.
BG chassis 323, BP swap, 2nd gen GTX2860, PAR gearbox, Pierce suspension bits.
Volvo 240, 16v headswap, billet wheeled upgrade into a bolt on OE turbo setup, limited slip and stupid final drive in the rear end, because Dana 30, khalephale suspension bits.
1.5L turbo swapped Honda Fit.
E-camper conversion Honda Element.
I want a full STi drivetrain swap into a GC chassis Impreza. Preferably a 2.5RS but that would be problematic emissions-wise.
I have wanted this since the 1990s. I was thrilled when I was told the WRX was coming to the US. I practically made imprezawrx.com my homepage in the 2000-2001 era. I was less than thrilled when the GD "wide track Legacy" was what got shipped here. No no no. The GC is a ballerina in comparison to the heavy, long wheelbase GD.
Wants:
- For the work commute:
3.8/4.2L split port Mustang/T5 swapped NC Miata in a very generic Toyota beige.
- To get E36M3 and haul kids:
Duramax swapped 2008 and later LWB Cadillac Escalade.
- Cruising:
Finished and driving Panhard
- For Quasi Missus commuter:
Anything but this 2012 Focus.

Most of my long time 'dreaming about it' builds have gone completely out of my price range in the last few years... aircooled 911, 240Z, 510, etc...
If I ever 'finish' our track Miata, driver Miata and Bronco there are still a few out there that might happen...
Mk1 Capri RS3000 clone with smallblock Ford power
B13 Sentra with mid-engine VQ and big box flares (think R5 Turbo 2)
Fox Mustang 'notch with Coyote power
I'm keeping an eye out for candidates to stick in the backyard for the future, and probably should have bought the Mk1 Capri I found locally last year, but it was pretty rough. Truth is, I have plenty to keep me busy for years, so it's all really 'dreaming'.

While LSX wagons are all the rage, I would do a full M5 wagon swap. Something about a V-10. Maybe add some turbos.
In reply to jay8s :
I don't understand the words coming out of your mouth. M5s have six cylinder engines, both in E28 and E34 form. What is the Dodge truck crap about V10s?
Also: I witnessed an Impreza Outback Sport with an STi drivetrain swap being pitched around a RallyCross course. It is precisely everything I think is awesome.

I witnessed this today, a full STi swap in a GC OBS.
It was exactly as awesome as I imagined it to be.
