I believe this is the demographic that the PT Cruiser was aiming for.

Definitely not. Her younger sister already has two.
azera of genesis sedan if it isnt too big. the genesis is 2 times the car of anything else in that price range.
If she can do 2-4 years old you can look at
Lexus ES or GS
BMW 5 series
Volvo S60 (new @31k) S80
Good luck!!!!

It sounds like she likes class, elegance, comfort, and some space. So, here's some other options: * Cadillac CTS (starts at $35K) * Cadillac ATS (should be out very, very soon, but smaller than the CTS) * Hyundai Genesis (starts at $34K) * Kia Optima (check out that brand-new Limited spec, it's loaded to the nines and is $34K, it's going to be your best features-for the-buck here as almost all of the other cars are the "base" spec) * Audi A4 (starts at $32K) Personally, I think the winner will be: * Chrysler 300 (the V6 Limited is $32.7K and loaded)
I think you may be/are right.
I got both my mother and mother-in-law into Toyota Camry's after their husbands died. My life is pretty simple since about all you ever have to do is change the oil and typical maintenance things. My mom actually has two of them since she keeps a Solara in Tn and a Camy in Melbourne Fla.
No, they arent exciting to drive even with the V6 but how can you argue with reliability and value retention.
I'll throw in the Camry as well. New ones are not that bad and are somewhat nice. I'm also going to throw out a 3 series BMW. My dad just bought a new one, and although his was in the mid $40's, he could have picked one up about 8k less if you optioned it correctly. And to me, it's a lot closer to a Buick than a Porsche these days.
