Greyhound worked well for me in the past for large items (body panels and hoods)

Last time I sent some CCW C5 Z06 rim and tires for a T-1 car via UPS they disappeared. Yes they were insured.

Then about two months later they showed up in CA (they were going to NJ) They had been beat up / bent and actually looked like some one had used them for a track day or three (the rims and tires were new when shipped). This was a big problem because I was just on the verge of settling with them and just wanted my $$$$. I had already reimbursed the purchaser.

It went legal. They suck! I won in the end but it was obvious to me that it was in inside job by some one that needed some wheels for there C5. Then "returned" them after the need was fulfilled. I really think they were more worried about that aspect and wanting me to say that there was nothing wrong with the wheels and tires when they were found. Fortunately I had pre shipping photos and copies of them in emails to the seller. I also had them insured for full replacement plus shipping and then some. They insisted that I should except "fair market value" for used rims and tires. It took a letter from my lawyer threatening action under MGL Chapter 93A (damages as assessed at 3x the value of the stated loss when corporate deception or unfair business practices are proved) that they came around.

Sorry for the rant but tires and shipping still gets me irritated.

Greyhound and Fedex have always been very good. UPS not so much.
