You can buy running, driving examples for very low 4 figure money, and it's the same drivetrain and suspension as the 1800.
Bought this a few months ago for under 1000, and put about 400 in parts into it to make it a daily driver:
For less than 1000 more it's an IPD springs and sways setup and some sticky meats away from being an autocross gem.
