Nobody said 2GR? Did I miss something?
Doesn't come close to bolting in, but otherwise, approved!
Oh. I thought it was the same basic block with a whole lot of improvements. What is the earliest car it will bolt into?
I don't think it bolts into anything other than other "GR" powered cars. It HAS been swapped into a couple SW20s, and quite a few MR-Ss, though. But that required a bit of modification.
However, last time i really researched these, they were way too expensive for me. If they share mounting with the MZ motors, then i certainly stand corrected, and i'll be looking into them again and weighing a 2gr vs. a 3sgte for my celica, because 2grs are NASTY.

I thought he was actually making more power than that these days... i think i posted a few of his pictures in the hotlink thread a few weeks ago.
Here's an alternative route: The "S to MZ" swap has been done many times in Celicas... should be essentially the same in that camry.

Yeah. That happened.
maybe the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.
Look around on that "channel." There's a few videos of it driving. That car has been on the same motor since like... 2006, and it used to have a built auto, but they swapped it out for a stock E153 out of a 5spd V6 Camry. (Yes it holds the power with no problem)
Actually used to be twincharged, had a TRD supercharger on top of the T51R at one point. The driving videos of that setup were insane.
2JZ-GTE will pop right in with no modifications.

how is it that you always link videos that blow my mind?
it's quite a talent
Here to blow your mind again.
Car is now back with more power and 5spd.

728whp. I do not condone street racing, but there it is pulling on a GTR. The noises it makes are pretty ridiculous.

(2) things:
1- I do this all the time. Sorry!
2- more info re: "$75 engine days" please!
Harry's U-Pull-It, Hazleton, PA. They claim it's the biggest you-pull-it on the East Coast, and I have no problem believing it. It take half an hour to walk from one end to the other. Each car is set off the ground for you, it's actually pretty nice. Every so often, they have $75 engine weeks, and occasionally they'll have one day sales (usually during the week) for $60 engines. That's bare engines, no flywheels, alternators, power steering pumps, header, etc. The specials are on their website.
