Discovered that my very old Shauer battery charger does not have a cut-off voltage. Or if it does, it's above 17.25VDC. Was throwing some current at a Lithium-Iron battery I picked up for my VFR, just to get its resting voltage into spec to make sure the regulator/rectifier would deal with it as it should.
It went from about 13.3V to 17+V in about 20 minutes. I guess once the battery was at capacity, things ramped really fast. Glad I was smart enough to check it when I did...
Meant to buy a few parts this morning but between the downpour of rain and getting distracted with things at home I didn't get out in time. It would have made me feel like a little progress was being made even though it wouldn't actually speed things up.

Ok... I actually DID something!
When filling up the Mini, I noticed the gas cap seal had deteriorated to nothing... It looked like someone had kludged it before with RTV and that finally got to the point where it was coming apart. So off to Advance I go in search of gasket material. To humor the clerk, he looked up a cap for the car ('64 Morris Minor Cooper) and lo and behold it was in their system and they listed a cap. $6.50 and could be there the next morning. "Eh... what the hell... I'll try it..." but still bought gasket cork sheet and adhesive. When I got home I cut out a new gasket and stuck it to the cap after some cleaning. It's now back on the car and seems to be sealing. I'm guessing the Advance cap will be some ugly looking thing vs. the nice smooth chrome cap the car has now, but I'll keep it in case my repair fails.
Sold stuff to get money to buy stuff for the projects.
I swapped the front coilovers to 375# springs, installed some camber adjusting bolts, and replaced the stock rubber swaybar bushing with poly ones on my '93 Cobra....it was a good day.
I continued polishing the exhaust ports in a free set of 305 heads going on a 350 in an old squarebody Chevy truck. And wondering if people actually read what others have posted in here. And then picked up my pop's camper.

made arrangements to have the carcass of my drivetrain donor hauled away.
Got the garage attic ladder 93% installed... Just need to cut it to length and bolt on the feet; had to stop to cook dinner, drink beer, and watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer

I do read them, it motivates me to get off the computer and do something, anything.
I drove the Mercedes 400 miles yesterday; its easy to find pull through parking if your looking for it lol.
This morning I got a new battery for the rabbit and the caliper for the front brake ordered. Had a hard time figuring out which Audi part it was.
The Mercedes got an oil change and a for sale sign.

Wired in a relay for the HEI distributor and cleaned up some underhood wire on my YJ
I was premature in my celebration. I wired it so once the relay was activated, it stayed on when the switch is turned off. I will straighten it out tomorrow
I found the solution to my jeep relay issue. Its because I am an idiot and had the alternator exciter wire back feeding the ignition switch. Only took an hour to find. Im a dummy
Got rid of that annoying filler neck baffle that slows down refueling.
...aaand decided to finally make up some solid diff bushings, replace the RTABs, weld in the reinforcements that have been sitting on my bench for 3 months, lose the brake dust covers, and generally overhaul the whole rear end. You know... because the engine is blown... while you are in there... (sigh)

Side note - it turns out fixing the gas cap cured my "garage and house smell like gasoline" problem. Sweet.
In less exciting (and flammable) news, I transferred some used oil into an old 5.1 qt oil container to take to Advance Auto since I've lost my bulk oil disposal hook-up when the g/f and I broke up. Dumped it (and got a $5 gift card for an old dead battery) when I picked up the gas cap I ordered yesterday. Since I've got about 6 gallons left in the under-lift draining container, there will be more trips in my future... I do have to figure out a less-messy way of transferring the oil from the bulk container to the 5.1 qt bottles.

Same here. Now to go do laundry... joy...
I thought about it a lot.
Almost finished putting mndsm's motor back together... had to scrape off an entire tube of grey rtv off the oil pan and stiffener because someone went all Michael J Fox with the goop previously. This is fail for more than on reason.
Rebuilt the cooling line setup, marked pan for new turbo drain, finished all seals except rear main seal.
This motor is going to make some serious power. I am excite.
I found out a 95 Integra coolant bottle fits a YJ like it was designed for it.
I also kicked a momma field mouse and her five babies out of my toolbox. She destroyed the manual for one of my scanners to make her nest.
Yes, I let her live. Tossed her in the back of the pasture.
Helping the wife build a new desk for her office. Grassroots wood-sports anyone?

You aren't the only one. I wish I was there to get more out of it. I still want to spray it, too.
built a little protective shelter for my tire trailer. It looks weird, but that's because it folds down and out of the way when not in use (the leg is hinged, and the diagonal brace is removable, just held in place by the weight of the shelter. All if it was built with spare materials I had sitting around - 2 types of shingles, some wood, and some old gate hardware:
with enough room to open the double gate :)
