Aerospace 303 works great on underhood plastic and rubber after cleaning.

Does that come in a bright neon green pump spray bottle? Whatever I used was in a remarkably bright green bottle. It worked great.

Does dawn hurt anything?  I’m looking at cleaning the case of my Ducati project and was hoping to find something noncorrosive.

Simple Green works well and isn't corrosive.  I buy it in a full strength spray bottle and get another empty bottle for a ten to one dilution.  I start with the diluted stuff.  It is safe, too.

Dawn is also fantastic stuff.

My parts cleaning tank has fill strength Purple Power.  It's great, too, but corrosive, so I use it carefully.  It strips paint off metal things, which I need to do on occasion.

When I stripped the paint off my old John Deere, I used Dollar general oven cleaner and a hot water pressure washer.  I don't need that too often.

Point is, all of the above are great to have around, depending on what I need to do.  I probably use the Simple Green most often.

I use stuff called big orange. It’s a citrus based degreaser, and it will dissolve any fuel or oil related gunk out there. Won’t kill the plastic or rubber, either. Spray on liberally, let stand for 20 minutes, rinse, repeat as needed...
