It's not going to fool anyone who knows what a Merak looks like, but I think this is pretty cool looking as its own thing. The wheels and color really tie it together.

I see I posted the same picture twice. There's supposed to be a different view. But I'm not smart enough to figure out how to edit the code on my phone. The edit field shows the code momentarily, but then resolves itself to displaying the images. Can't fix until I get back to my desktop.
I see TR7 in there. I want to like the wheels but I don't, like they've got a mile of positive offset or something. Similarly, that 928 just above this reply needs no wing and a set of Phone Dials. Hell, put Phone Dials on the Fiero while you're at it.
If I saw that driving around, my first guess would be Lancia Scorpion. Looks way better than most of these type of creations.

I like it but if i were doing it i would avoid harkening back to the worst aspects of old Masis, the wheels and tires.. it almost totally kills the look.
Step 1 to having a cool looking car is definitely not 'slap on a tall by skinny tire setup you pulled off an early 90s full size sedan'. I don't care if that's not what this is, because that's what it looks like.
This Fiero four wheel drive Ferrari on eBay may be the polar opposite....

I’m not a huge Merak fan, but I really like this car. It’s more interesting than a regular Fiero, but not as cheesy as a fake Ferrari. Most people don’t even know what a Merak is, so the proportions don’t bother me, and this is probably a better car anyway.
Approved.
