I had a similar idea a while ago, but more GRM. Just take a normal house with an attached garage in the right spot, insulate the heck out of it, make it look nice and then knock out the interior wall. Probably need some kind of ventilation if you're going to park a dd there. Of course my living-room-garage would have a few more tools in it than this guy's.
BTW I'm not a huge Ferrari fan but that one is gorgeous. The perfect blend of Italian styling, '80sness, and not-red. I approve.
The only guy I know who owns a Ferrari once told me he would rather mount it on his office wall (cool exposed brick wall) because it really is better art than it is a car.
He also told me he preferes to dive it in parking garages and tunnels because of the wonderfull sounds it makes.
...But Los Angeles officials are about to slam shut forever the garage door that leads to the city's most extravagant parking space
City planners have withdrawn permission for Schubert to use a bridge to connect his Ferrari's third-floor resting spot with North Tigertail Road....
I like his priorities!

Where is the Beer fridge?

It's that tastefully hidden thing under the book shelf.
Gotta love the side story. They actually blame the guy for being too rich, basically, so he can't have his bridge, nyaa nyaa. Poor guy.
Kinda reminds me of one of my favorite houses, although it's nowhere near as cool as this:

The Ferrari guy's place looks great, but loses big points for being clearly not intended as a workspace, ever. Also, the reason there is no beer fridge is because this guy probably drinks 40 year old scotch. In the Jaguar guy's place I see drill press right on the floor, and pinball tables up in the balcony. WIN.

He turned the Ferrari into a giant fridge.
I know the guy who owns Barber Motorsports Park has a Lotus F1 car in his living room. I got to go to a party there once...very cool.
I knew when I asked "What do you park in your living room?" that I would probably get several people that have had a motorcycle in the living room at one time or another and that someone would answer "My butt."

SlickDizzy, anything with a motor counts!

Josh, I like the Jag in the house too! Old School and classy!
Come on, we need more pictures! I know some more of you guys have something with wheels parked inside the house.
My ex-girlfriend's uncle was a semi-successful architect, who was a car guy. When he added onto his house, the new "great room" was speficially designed to fit 3 cars in it for display as art. Last time I was there it had an 47 MGTC (his first classic car), a 58? Alfa Romeo Giulietta low nose prototype, and a Bugatti. Yea, I miss him more than her.
A couple weeks ago I bought a set of wheels off a guy in Arlington VA. In his living room was a couple LARGE tool cabinets and assorted bits and pieces. He also had a couple racing motorcycles that looked to be pretty much ready to go. We're guessing that he's single.
2004 Cannondale Gemini.
It's not a fashionable as a Ferrari but hey, I don't have to pay Nino and Tino to fix it either.

we used to prep our new race bikes in the livingroom next to the big screen. my new bedroom has a sliding glass door right into my small bike shop.

If he was an architect, and he could afford all of that, he was pretty ridiculously berkeleying successful.
