The weatherstripping on the CRX is pretty worn and of course like almost everything else for this car, NLA.
I've used some Einszett Gummipflege on the driver's door weatherstrip which has improved matter somewhat but the seal still needs to "balloon" a little more in order to create a proper, non-whistling seal and keep the weather out better.
Before I end up slowly rubbing the whole bottle onto the seal, what do other people do to revive well-used weatherstripping?
Not sure what the seal looks on the CRX but is there a hollow center you could slide some vacuum tubing or some hose in to give it some more height and reinforcement?

Says Kerosene works, haven't tried it myself.
I use vaseline on sunroof seals. There's also the option of finding some close enough universal stuff.
I have heard ATF can do wonders, but the residue may not be what you want to deal with.
Dielectric grease. I can't speak to its revivifying properties but it is good for maintenance. Hell, it couldn't hurt.
I used silicone spray lube on my old fiero's dew wipes and they actually became flexible.
In reply to Dr. Hess:
The one that comes in a bottle or the one that requires years of study?
I have some stuff from Honda for use on my convertible top seals called "Shin-Etsu Grease".
I have no idea what it means, but it probably came from a store for people age 18+ ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/crazy-18.png)

I've had mixed results... beltline on my old Corolla is hard as plastic these days... I've tried repeated use and it hasn't improved enough to call it a success... so mixed results???
