It was mentioned in the April 2011 "Coming Soon" section - but I've searched my May thru Dec 2011 issues (and my 2012 issues) - and I can't find it...
Did it "come and go" without me finding it ?
I've got a blown FD RX-7 rotary just waiting for this article...
i think LS swaps happened to rx7's
If you can deal with his godaweful pronunciation of Mazda, AaronCake has made a very easy to follow rebuild video, and put it up on the 'tube for free: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijJeUk_GqiI
I got a whole series of videos on my puter from the net. Rebuilding a rotary isn't hard. I believe it's easier then a piston powered engine.
Oh, and a rotary is CHEAPER for higher HP apps, IMO. I can build TWO 2.6 4 rotor deals for what ONE v8 would cost me to run the class I would like to run.
PineappleRacing.com has some videos. You can preview some here: http://www.rebuildingrotaryengines.com/
Atkins and Mazdatrix have some DVDs also.
Many refer to Bruce Turrentine's DIY-REW at Mazdatrix

thanks for the links - I see that some builds talk about RX-8 rotors in FD housings - but I don't want to do anything that would raise the CR too much for 10-12 psi turbo system. I've got the factory Mazda manual but there's always "tips and tricks" that you can pick up from the web
