I think you mean to say that "someone is still putting the Tokico name on some shocks in Thailand". Those models and applications bear no resemblance to the old ones.

We actually came across a pair of NIB Tokico Illuminas for the NA in the shop last month. We must have been keeping them for warranty purposes.

Just how old are you, Andy?

Old enough to have my car on the front of the Tokico catalog when they were the real deal in 1989.

I think the matched spring and damper set on my 92 mustang was the last one in the country, this was about 7 years ago.

I struggled to put together a set for my 2010 Yaris to put my TRD springs on about three years ago. I ended up getting them from three different places, and ultimately was using Scion xA rears, which were similar but slightly different, and ended up with two left front struts, so I couldn't hook the front sway bar up.
