David's 240SX being sold got me thinking that someone has to buy these cars new so that someone else can buy them used.
How have you contibuted?
I've bought new:
2000 Ford Focus 5sp
2007 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab
2012 Mazda2 5sp
2014 Cadillac CTSV Wagon 6sp
SVreX

1986 Mazda B2000

1987 Toyota Corolla FX16 GT-S. This one:
1989 Nissan Hardbody
2003 Passat
2015 Outback
2017 Tacoma
I have owned upwards of 70 cars, many super interesting, and that is the entire list that smelled new on my dime. Huh. Two of those were my wife's cars so apparently I only buy small 4x4s new every 28 years.
'09 Honda Fit
'14 Honda CB500X
That's it. Fit has 130k on it and going strong, bike has......significantly fewer miles
1988 Ford Ranger 2.0 Lima 5spd 4x2. Nothing since. In fact, since then $3,000 is about the most I've spent on one car ($200 for a truck I drove home was the least)

1998 Integra GS-R.
SWMBO bought her Mazda3 new a year before we met and we still have it 192k miles later.
I bought my car hauler trailer new as it was almost the same price as the used ones that I could find.
I have nothing against it for the right cars and I'm sure I'll get another at some point, I'm just generally adverse to depreciation.
2000 Honda Civic Si (yes, in Electron Blue)
2014 Honda Civic Si sedan
Both of these were/are my wife's DD.
2009 TDI Jetta Sedan
2014 TDI Jetta Sportwagen
Only 2 in my lifetime.
1996 Trans Am WS6
2001 Honda S2000
i "might" buy a new car down the road (3-5 years) but seeing how expensive new cars are these days. It probably will never happen again.
New cars are too rich for my blood!
1985 Chevy POS
1989 Civic Si
1998 Accord LX 4 cyl
1999 Civic EX coupe
2004 Accord EX-L V6
2004 WRX sedan
2005 Toyota Tacoma
2009 Honda Ruckus
2010 Accord EX-L V6
2014 Accord EX-L V6
The Chevy, the Civic EX and the Ruckus were mistakes. I kept all of the others long enough to justify buying them new.
New for me:
-2000 GMC Sonoma
-2002 Hyundai Elantra GLS
-2006 GMC Sierra
Wife bought her 1997 Rav4 manual trans. Folks hada few new cars growing up.
I wanted one of those very badly in 1987.

2004 R6
2010 MazdaSpeed 3
2011 Frontier
2013 Mustang GT
2015 BRZ
Only one I regret is the last one. It's amazing how much it's plummeted in value.
Oh wait, duh, I leased a new Nissan Sentra SE-R from 1992 through 1995. Lease? Yes. I was just out of school and got a killer deal.
1986 Harley-Davidson FLHT
1987 Harley-Davidson XLH
That's it. Still have them. We rode them to Sturgis (1K miles each way) again this year.
Nothing new for me, only used cars
