I'm pretty sure I know what this is, but I'm thrown off by the front corner turn signal lights and I notice the modest tail fins. The front grille badge might be a red herring?
I figure the GRM crowd will certainly identify this in just a few minutes, so here goes. Apologies for the lousy cell phone pics from my friend's kid, who saw it in his high school parking lot. At least he noticed it!

Oldsmobile Starfire with a MGB rebody :P
Thank you! I did think it was an early MGB, so feel validated. Never would have identified the grille badge!
I'll report if I find out more...
I wonder if the MGB has a Starfire engine? Whats in the Starfire? 3.8L? OHC Motor? Iron Duke?
In reply to John Welsh :
I think it had the even fire 3.8L V6
Isn't the aluminum 3.5 liter V8 that came in the MGB-GT V8 originally a Buick engine? That used to be a common swap for MGB's and other British cars. Maybe thats why it has the Buick badge.
I like the semi polished aluminum hood (bonnet if you're British).
In reply to SEADave :
Exactly what I'm thinking. Does it have the aluminum Buick/Olds 215?
