Went junkyarding a while back, and found this.
I can't figure out what it is. 4-cyl Z? What?
And here's the back half of a home-brewed fastback Corvette:
Lots of interesting things in this junkyard.

Thats a nissan Z24 engine used in the 720 serries pick up truck, and posssibly some early & mid eighties cars. Most have dual plug heads. That engine was also used in some nissan fork lifts with a different crank and front cover to support a PTO drive for the hyd pump
That fastback Corvette was some sort of kit. I have seen another one driving around, interesting conversion. I suspect it made the car a lot more practical.
Right, thanks.
And yeah, the fastback 'vette was clearly a kit, it still had a keyhole, but no hatch or truck of any sort.
Flying brake Vette-funny. I once saw the alarm switch in the keyhole on the deck of one of those vettes with no external trunklid-kinda smoove

Yeah, I did, actually. I had to go back up and see what I wrote that made you say that. Oh well. I'll leave it so your comment still makes sense.
And wow, that's a lot uglier when it's all there.
My 87 hardbody pu had that engine too. The KA24 did not start until 91 and was a much better engine. I hated the dual plugs. My second coil worked 40% of the time.
