Something that used to be a 4 door and has been shortened by 2 doors.

ford grenada (british) is my guess - front end and door handle is a little different - maybe an earlier one?

Heavily modified....Opel?

I'm going disagree with Duster: I think it's supposed to be that way. My guess is low-production British, circa 1980, but that's as close (far) as I can get. Watching with interest to see what El Hive comes up with.

The hood looks like fiberglass. I think it's a kit car.

The back end does look like an Opel.

It looks like one of those cars that had a big section chopped out of the middle.

Front side marker means '68 or newer. Small bumpers mean pre-mid '74.

I think it is an Opel Kadett with about a foot cut out behind the doors and about a foot added in front of the doors.

If so, I could set you up with a starter kit to build your own...

It could be an Ascona (1900 in the US) though. The front flip hood would be more correct for one, but they are not very common.

Little rubber bumper guards probably mean 1973.

I'm with the Opel folks. Looks like a Kadett that's been stretched in the front and had the back doors cut out.

I say Opel 1900 tail lights. From there it looks like the front door of 4 door Opel 1900. The hood of an Opel 1900 opens in the same reverse fashion though the hood looks like a custom long stretch. The B-pillar is all custom.

Seems like an Opel rendition of this type of customization that was popular on the 1977 Cadillac Seville though with less Excalibur styling and more Jaguar XKE or 240z long nose styling.

That is an odd duck. Ad says 6 cylinder. What engine does it have in it? Did Opel sell anything with a six? Front fender/side marker/bumper resemble a lengthened Opel Manta, but the rear is all wrong.

Somebody take it to the challenge please.

An inline 6 would explain the long hood...... hmm.... but what engine?

But look how far the radiator sits back behind the nose... might be a V6. The big square air box makes me think Ford Cologne V6 as well, but it's not quite right. This is definitely a car someone needs to go put eyes on.
