What is this race car?

I saw this photo on Lincoln's website and nothing is said about the photo. Anyone know what/where something like this is raced?

The overall chassis reminds me of a formula vee (w/o the vw beam) while the front wheels look to be drag car-like...

Looks like something for the quarter-mile to me.

Narrow track would say 1/4 mile, bologna tires = Bonneville?

There might be a streamliner body to go with it that we don't see.

I wish I could see more of the rear half. I'm guessing bike or snowmobile engine???

If it is a quarter-miler, later 600cc bikes make 110+ hp and are capable of 10 second ETs - imagine what a 1000cc bike would do.

There is a relatively new class called Modified Roadster. Start with a general shape of a 32 roadster, and go from there. If the roll over tubes were beefier, i would think its that, too.

the Jr. Dragsters all have those small slicks at the back, as the photo seems to show.

Some really good Nitro racing down at SIR this weekend, but I don't think I'll make it. Bummer.

The more I think about this the more I lean towards it being a land speed/Bonneville type vehicle. Most of the jr. dragster-type vehicles have much longer wheelbases and look like mini-top fuelers.

I'm still a little perplexed by the small diameter rear wheels (not typical on LSRs)... and the small roll hoops.
