Really only 10,000 of them imported? It's totally perfect, except for being a autotragic. Anyone know if they share parts with regular Civics?

Cool little wagons. I'm still kinda looking for one for my 16 year old daughter to drive.
cant be that rare, my buddy had a 5 spd version as a 3rd time hand me down in his family. It took me to and from High school my junior and senior year, and college for ~2 years. we split gas. At the time, gas was only like 1.49 a gallon. my share was max $10 to fill up
I used to own one and my Dad has one exactly like the one in the ad. They are fun cars, with tons of practicality. They have the si engine in them, and do share a lot of parts with the Civic/CRX, but there are also a lot of parts that are specific to the wagon. That said, the CRV is in a lot of ways a similar and much better vehicle.

How does that make it not rare? I'm not sure how many were made, but they were and are pretty scarce, especially in AWD form.
Is the transmission the same as regular civics with a bolt on transfer case or something? Also known as, how to swap a manual.

The AWD transaxle is specific to the wagon. The rear drive output is integral in the trans. The drive shaft to the rear includes a viscous coupler that engages the rear drive whenever the front spins faster than the rear. Both of mine were AWD, so I don't know for sure about the FWD model. The half shafts are different also.

Didn't there also used to be a guy that hung around these parts that had a red one, 4WD, and boosted? I seem to remember him talking about doing full throttle clutch dump awd launch awesomeness while tightening his sphincter in anticipation of the inevitable grenading of the drivetrain....
It sounded like so much fun.

CHILDREN, please - I swear, I'll pull this car over RIGHT NOW! Just wait 'till your Mother gets home!

I was going to go with the "sexual tension" angle, but this works.....
$2500 for a slushbox is cracksmoker pricing. Plus, I don't trust people who are too lazy to replace hatch struts They pop up all the time for ~$500 in atl. I've heard rumors of CRV swaps, but the standard AWD is pretty much worthless at that point, IIRC. Still a little pricey IMO, but it looks nice:

If you did want to do a swap, this looks like a decent candidate:

I've seen a few ZC swaps too. That would probably be a decent, usable, fun to drive powerplant:

IIRC, this car sold on CL for ~$2k a while back:

I have a buddy with one of these, slammed, with a built B18B on spray in it. It's hilarious. It's awesome. It's a plane!
