Early 60's Falcon. Bonus points if it's a 4 door and your put engine mid ship and drive it from back seat.

I've been looking for a 4 door Falcon,in the $2000-$3000 range and they are few and far between. Everyone saved the 2 door cars. I also doubt the 4.6 would fit between the strut towers.
Big Hit, Thank God your son wasn't in that seat.
Could you stuff it into a TR7? That'd be light enough.
TR8Todd could give you some tips.

Check Nashville area Craig's list. 1960 4door. Original owner. 40K original miles. $4,000 but it's been for sale a while....bet theyd come down
$500 for this. 2002 Jaguar XJ8. I have to wonder if the 4.6 would fit though. Anyone know?
How much of a nightmare would the electronics be?

Oh crap, I didn't even think about that...
For some reason, I'm thinking Subaru brat, but I don't think it would fit without heavy hammering and cutting.
Its probably not even worth parting out, doesn't look like anything is salvageable besides the running gear, and 2Vs are so cheap and unloved, I don't even know if its worth the buyback.
Id rather have a 5.0. No cheap hp with a 2V 4.6.
Overjoyed the insurance took care of you. I was worried to see the wreck occurred with a class taped on the door. Some insurance has an exclusion that includes driving to or from any contest of speed.
Glad to see all is okay, and that you are being dealt with equitably.
My vote:
The rumor mill says that this year is Challenge Vans and next year is trucks. You might have to bother the powers that be to confirm. With that time frame I'd be looking seriously at short box standard cab Ford rangers with bad motors. Very wide tires. Very wide.

There is a $500 Nissan Quest that would run much better with 260 hp right behind the front seats.
