So let's say I have a lead on a solid running and driving crossfire injected c4. Less than half Challenge money. It's been sitting and has some gremlins but apparently the body is straight, paint is solid just everything is super dirty.
What do you do with it, besides de bodying it ,pictures make it look good enough id feel bad for ruining it?
Rallycross car? Put a carb on it and give it a viking burial (spray it until it pops) at the strip? Get a gold chain and mullet and autox it while blaring Skynyrd? Fix it and make a cruiser and sell it for a profit when I get bored?
Test the theory that you could take a 350 TPI Corvette and a mid 2000s truck with the 4.8, swap the engines between the two, and improve both vehicles.
Wait, that might not hold true for a Crossfire. But it might be funnier to test.
it has CrossFail Injection. I would argue that GM ruined it.
then i'd pull it apart and use the suspension under something awesome like a box-flared Chevette.

I kinda wanna put C4 suspension under my 924. Fix the issues with both cars (weight and styling of the 'Vette and the partsbin suspension design and Porsche only wheel options of the 924/944).

Dump the Tb's and Mount a couple 2bbl. It Would Still Suck Peformance wise. But A 50 dollar eddy and cheap Carb would wake it some, an a cam an a well you know. GET IT By 2020 Challenge I bet a Dozen Vatte based Cars arrive!

I vote Rallycross
Cut the fenders, put knobby tires, do hero slides.
sell me the crossfire intake when it pisses you off. always wanted to try porting one and running dual 2.8 s10 tbi units....
I'd replace the Ceasefire with reasonable small block of your choosing and drive the E36 M3 out of it. I'm weird and actually like C4s though.

Gotcha, With A Computer .Still Installed.
It Will never be a Smoky Ram but on a Small Engine it could be Fine, A Longer stroke Smaler bore like a 305, A4" bore moves more air because it unshrouds the valves More and that intake Could be a Restriction . Never Looked

If it looks good, why not fix it up? Not every car has to have the body chopped off.
I couldn’t answer this question either, since the motor is pretty blah and most have their bodies and insides trashed by this point. That’s why I’m scoping C5’s on copart. All the good stuffs already there.
Yes I too want a vettekart
A crossfire c4 is a year only the 84 model. The 84 are known for pretty stiff riding but they handle awesome. The z51 of that year was especially stiff and rough. I’ve heard that the base 84 basically becathe z51 after 84 while they softened up the base car.
drive it,autocross it.,solo etc. Can put in a small block or ls etc engine in it. Heck you can put a big block in as-well if you want to.
I suggest
A) forklift electric motor and autocross it.
B) make it a v16 from two aluminum v8 and drag race it.
C) supercharged KL V6 and road race it.
D) Put a VW bug body on it and admire it.

Could also do a Vortec 5.7 to keep the spirit of Detroit Iron (and cheap, of course)
K20 swap and make people mad.

My Choice. These are like 944's were about 10 years ago. 944's that were free are 2K and the 2k cars are 10K. Turbo's and S2's that are in decent running condition are north of 15K and good low millage clean examples are pushing 30K-50K. I can see the C4 starting to rise in value as the supply of them goes away and the teenagers of the late 80's-90's hit there 40's and start getting nostalgic and have a bit of $$$. The C5 will be next although I don't think it will ever reach the lows in value that the C4's have.
Enjoy it for all its 80's goodness. Re live all those 80's sitcoms John Travolta and the girls with big hair. Disco, mullets, and gold chains were king!!! Miami Vice.

I was more of an A-Team and Knight Rider fan myself. They produced a ton of '84 Corvettes, personally I think it is the easiest candidate for an LS swap with the only caveat being the Dana 36 in the rear. The nice part about early C4's is that they're kind of disposable at current prices, makes it easy to experiment on without feeling to bad about the results.
