WAY Cool.

You really don't need air ride for comfort in a 60's Galaxie. They come from the factory with comfort!!
The tires are a little wide for the front end so I will need to do some clearancing.
I just bought the adapters off the web. 30 dollars each. Everything said and done I have about 540 total in the wheels and tires. I think all things considered, not a bad deal.
It looks a little tall now in the front to me so next mod will probably be air bags. However, I have some maintenance issues to deal with first.

I may take you up on that.
Suggestions on what diesel motor to swap? I have thought about this but none of the diesels I have considered get good enough MPG, cheap and available, and don't sound too loud.
I almost think the tires are too tall for your car. Its kind of hard to tell with the curb there though and only one photo. The rims do look cool, good choice.
maybe get a shorter tire for the front and keep the 2 tires as spares for the rear? that way you'll at least use them.

Yeah I think the website was called lug man. They are 1.25" adapters from 5-4.5 to 5-120.
They are a little tall. However, this is supposedly the factory height. They are way wider and lower backspacing.
You know, I thought those steelies were the worst idea in the world when I saw them on the new camaro. On that, they look fantastic - it's a great looking old ride. I'm jealous of those big old verts, especially when they look that nice.
Thanks for all the positive comments everyone. I will have to show this to my wife and show her that I do have good ideas sometimes, ha ha.

I think he means, "May we all have a ride in it, please?"
Wheels look great. They really work on that car. How much have you been driving it? Any cruise nights or shows or anything yet?
The wheels literally went on last night. I am going to have to do a little clearancing on the front of the front fender. Only one side hits. This car has seen a hedge in its day.

Cool car! Be sure to check into possible fitment issues if you consider the 460 swap.
That is a sweet ride!!!! I have a Jones for a 64 commit 2 door. Kind of the little brother made by mercury
Did some clearancing and had som success. Still needs more, it does drive alright though. Probably also needs shorter tires up front but the wife isnt having it.

This.
Seriously. Either fix the 352, or swap a newer motor in it, clean it up, put some better looking wheels on it. Then go to cruise nights or the drive-in. It's a cruiser. It needs to be cruised in.
Edit: I didn't realize this was 3 pages.
