You are missing out.
Man if I never have to change another leaking oil pan or valve cover gasket again I would be ecstatic. No timing belt replacements, no getting to spark plugs blocked by frame rails. Not there yet especially for people on a budget but I certainly have no issues with the takeover of electric.
