Sister dealership has an 04 325 wagon, 5 mtx with 158k. No visible rust, doesn't sound/run funny. Later tonight I'll throw it on a lift and have a tech look it over.

Sounds like they have right around 2k into it, if I could get it for that (excluding tags/tax/etc..), what says the hive?

This will be a 2nd car, but i don't want to overpay or buy a money pit.

Second that. In 1984 my mom bought a brand new k car wagon special order with bucket seats and 5 speed. My buddies thought my mom was cool as e36m3.

2k is a really good deal if it is as advertised.

I wanna make a politically insensitive joke here.

But is it me or does that sound like a crazy good deal?

That was what, $30,000 new?

Factory E46 manual wagons typically go for around $5k even if they are on the rough side. Sounds like a no-brainer if the car is nice.

2k is cheap! Even if its needs all of the cooling and front suspension stuff done, it's a no brainer!

Great cars. We have our daughter driving the wheels off a of a 2001 325i sedan. Every 10,000 miles I get to see the car again, as she is in school so much of the year. And every time, I am shocked at how reliable this car is and how little it needs to stay that way.
