My cousin has an off-road race buggy with a water-cooled VW motor and he is switching over to an EcoTec. The engine has a complete Bertils cross-flow head with valve cover and intake with a single side-draft Weber 45 DCOE. Just wondering how much the head would be worth. Thanks.
Id like to have it, I bought one of his left over beetle cup engines for my old rabbit and it was a wicked engine. What is he thinking?
We're not sure what it's worth. Still trying to do the research. I was looking through the web archives from Bertils site, and it looks like it may be from a "Blitz" 1600 built for CORR short course racing.
Depending on its age, and the displacement of his engine it could be for any number of spec series where Bertils was the engine builder of choice.

It looks like we're going to have to finish out the season on the VW engine, because the rule change allowing the Ecotec doesn't go into effect until next year.
