I know they were crazy high for a long time. I'm assuming they've come down some.
I've got a know good condition T56 (from a trusted forum member). No bell housing.
Thoughts?

I changed course in selling a car after guessing $2500 T56, and an easy $500+ in bellhousing, clutch/flywheel. Everything near me seems to be 2200-2800 for an LS1 T56, lower end ones possibly needing work.
Most I see posted are $2000-3500 depending on how recently its been rebuilt and what all parts it comes with. For $500 I'll take it.
$2500 seems to be about the going rate for an LS T56, based on the ones that show up on Marketplace near me (NJ/NY/PA area). LT1 and mod motor versions are about $1000 less.
I just sold an LT1 version in relatively unknown condition with a Hurst shifter for $1500, for whatever that's worth.
If this is the transmission I think it is, I know a little more of the history and have driven it :)
In reply to Keith Tanner :
It is.
And I don't plan on selling it. But I'm negotiating a deal with someone, and he's trying to get me to throw it in (I won't), and I need to put a value on it for negotiating.
