Are you kidding me?! I didn't even post this anywhere yet. I haven't even taken it out of the box!
Congrats on the T-shirt!
I suspect a new machine tool accessory, based on the box construction. The height to length to width has me stumped though.
My guess is a small surface plate.

LOL. I guess I figured it was the next step in the home machine shop journey.
You never know where old machine tools have spent their years, so I hit everything with a Geiger counter before it becomes a permanent fixture in my garage. Looks like I didn't accidentally buy a rotary table from Oak Ridge or anything like that. Woo!
Ok now do the tramming and checking for flatness thru the full rotation. Next get the flywheel you need to lighten starpped down and lets make some chips.
Nice!
A word of caution on keeping the rotary table on the end of the mill table like that. The weight can rock the knee slightly. In some cases locking the gib on the knee will pull it level again. In other cases you need to move the mill table to the left and lock the gib while the table is level and it'll hold just fine when you move it back to the right (that's how my mill is) and in other cases you just can keep it there if you want the vise and the left hand side of the table to be level.

I never knew I needed a Geiger counter. Thanks for that.

You probably don't, but I figure bringing home something radioactive is a very low probability event with very high consequences. Better safe than sorry.
