What's the best repli-car?

I'm gonna have to go with cobra replica, thats the only replicar I would buy....

But if we are talking kit cars I am partial to the factory five GTM!

Modern Porsche drivetrain + Race Car Replicas 917 = something you can actually track day or run with HSR. Since RCR actually won the 2011 NASA SU championship in their Superlite "kit" car, you know that the cars are built to handle as well as finish races. The downside (to some, not me) of that performance is that these cars are nowhere near exact replicas under the skin, but rather modern everything.

I toured their shop recently and they were shoehorning an actual Ferrari V12 into one of their P4's. Their XJ13 replicas looks to be sexy. Think how many cheapo Jag engines are out there?

These replicas are accepted into the Bugatti Owner's Club. Pur Sang builds their own 8 cylinder inline replica engine and replica crash box trans. Wheels have cast-in brake drums (mechanical) just like the real ones.
These things are very expensive.

This is one of only two cars I would give my left nut to own. I drove the one owned by Phyllis George at the time she was first lady of Kentucky. We had it at the shop in Fort Lauderdale for a while, and I drove it to the golf course for a photo shoot. Took Mike Tyson's Testarossa over there also. Heavily breathed on 302, Fiat Spider windshield, but god I loved the lines of that thing. Better looking than the real thing, one of which we also had in the showroom at the time (sold that to a collector in Japan for way over a $Mil at the time, ah..the 80s). Just a beautiful car.

Klayfish, man, I can't wait to meet you at the NJMP race. You seem to have had quite the variety of vehicles over the years. Do you miss the Cobra? I couldn't see letting one go once I built one!

I would also vote for a Factory Five, either Cobra or Daytona Coupe.

Ok... the GT40 is pushed back. I want one of these instead. At L125K, not as bad as I was expecting...

Could you imagine showing up at an auto-x with one of these?

I looked at a half built one of them at one point. If I remember correctly GRM did a bit piece on one of them around the same time they reviewed the FFR GTM. I might be wrong but I think there was something about all the directions were in Russian and they hardly ever get finished because they're a real PITA to piece together. Alas I am garageless for the time being.

Then there is also the Sylva J15, J16 and Fury. All very tasty!
