Not mine, but I'm going to look at it in the morning. 96 with 105k miles, power windows, no leather. Unknown on the Torsen.
It almost looks like it could have been a deer hit.
What's it worth?
I bought a 97' that was rearended with much less damage( was driveable and could of been easily fixed) for $600.
I'd pay $500. Then turn it into a track rat, that way my '96 M Edition Miata with only 76,000 miles can stay my garage queen.
It probably has $2,000 worth of parts on it, if you're willing to hack it up and sell off what you don't need. Someone will pay $500 for it--that might as well be you. Depending what parts you need, you may come out ahead even if you pay $1,000. I wouldn't pay more than $500.
Confirm this, but I'm pretty sure a 96 with power windows has a Torsen. We'd jump on that for under a grand for salvage :)
I'm on board with the <$700 price tag if you can get it there. Lots of good parts on the car, though restoring it could be a touch difficult.
As a side note, seeing it's condition, The Goonies come to mind:

I think that the safe combo for factory Torsens is cruise control and power antenna, though admittedly, both could be easily added.

power mirrors are also another clue for a torsen. anything that was part of the popular equipment package usually means torsen.
...and I'm not sure many people would actually request a power antenna as a standalone option.
UPDATE:
Well, here's what the car is not worth: $1000, which is what the seller wants for it. At least it's not worth that to me.
The hit that it took was a lot harder than it appears in the photos. The front suspension may have survived, but I doubt that the steering did. There doesn't appear to be any outside damage to the engine, but the radiator is cracked and it's hard to say how long the engine ran after the hit. All of the aluminum on the engine was black with mold.
The windshield is broken and both airbags fired. The worst part is that the accident happened back in June and the car has been sitting outside with a wide open rear window. The interior and trunk are full of water, mold and dog fur. It stunk of animal urine. Most of the interior trim is gone. The car shows 138k miles on the odometer. There is no trim around the gauges. The brakes are completely rusty and I doubt that the car will roll.
The rockers are rusty, there are dents in both doors and it appears that both rear quarters were repainted at some point.
The only good things that I can say are that the rear finish panel is in good shape and I'm fairly certain that it has a Torsen.
As a bonus, the seller says that he lost the title, but has applied for a new one.
I offered him $400 and he just turned his back and walked away. I looked at it for another ten minutes and told him I'd go to $500, but he insisted that he wanted $1000. If it does have a Torsen, it may be worth that to someone, so I'll post a link to his ad. I was looking for a suspension and Torsen donor for my Challenge project, but there wouldn't be much left to sell off after removing the suspension I just didn't want to get involved with this one.

If a bunch of us call him and offer him $200, that $400 you offered him would start to look pretty good and might reconsider it, Woody.
