Boosted to 10PSI, needs a clutch and registration. I don't have time for another project

My 5.1 SurroundSound receiver has gone wonky, so in retaliation for it's epic fail, it's now in a hundred pieces.

If I don't get it back working soon, it will be in a thousand pieces (see wood splitting thread.. splitting maul).

"What V8 shall I put in the Starion?" is pretty much always simmering away in my mind. Surprisingly I don't really want to modify the Elan, as I don't think I could do a better job than Lotus. I'd just like get it back to the sort of shape it deserves to be in. Well, except for the stereo, I could upgrade that. And the brakes. And the exhaust. And maybe chip it so it makes more boost. Crap.

Oh yeah, and somehow I've convinced myself that I NEED to build a crazy '70s kit car with a hybrid turbine drivetrain from hell at some point in the future. Not gonna have the resources for that one for a while though...

I have a desire to put a 16 valve something (Toyota, Swift GTI or Zetec/Duratec) and five speed into one of my Spitfires.

I am megasquirting the E30 of Doom, using COP and VANOS triggering so that it uses the factory connection and OBD1 harness.

Reading this thread makes that seem weak so I'm planning a motorcycle powered Seven using midget and sprint car running gear in my head as of right now.

Can't. After tossing together the Naked Goldwing, my wife suggested I sell everything and get back into motorcycles.

They take up less room than a car project.

Way less money involved.

Faster turn around time.

Much bigger profit margin.

If I kicked the 'Tina to the curb it would be the third unfinished project, each tossed for tangible and defendable issues. "You've got thick skin, you can take it". No. I'm finishing this one. Period.

Now if you want to bring cash to the Challenge, I'll throw in the trailer too.

also thinking of gluing together an MR2 and an FX16...AWD twin 4AGE power.

Girls. Sticking my Zetec in my '77 Capri and drilling the top bellhousing bolts into the block to get a standard 2.3L Lima bellhousing to fit (just to prove it can be done since I have two transmissions that will bolt up already)... ITBs... megasquirt... rewire the whole car and find all the rubber trim for the windows to make it weather tight. Then a Locost with another zetec, my Type E trans, Mustang II spindles and 6 3/4" rear end. A Girl. Beers. Jeeps.

I've spent way too much time lately looking at formula vee and solo vee chassis pics. The dream is to come up with an open source chassis design for a solo vee autocross car. The VW front beam and rear swing axle suspension should make things much easier to build than a locost. Plus there is already a SCCA class for it (fmod).

My Suzuki Savage project, fresh out of a long engine rebuild, ran for 10 miles while bringing it home, then suddenly stopped running. So a great big "WTF" about that is very much on my mind.

My primary ride, an '82 GS1100L, has a clutch that won't disengage, despite everything appearing to be assembled right. "WTF" and banging my head against the wall about that, too.

My girlfriend's CRX now runs, stops, and has had the floorboard welded back together. Today I'll probably put the interior back in, then hope like crazy it'll take a sticker, putting it back on the road for the first time in a year and a half.

My SE-R has a sticky throttle body (despite thorough cleaning - it's a low port, though, so tough to get to), needs front speakers, an MP3 capable stereo, and a sunroof seal.

The Miata? It's basically finished after the Koni STR.Ts went on a couple of weeks ago, and the enjoyment of that is also very much on my mind.

My 1986 BMW M535i is in the restoration shop right now so I can't afford to think about any new projects for a while. Along with getting all the rust repaired and a new paint job, It's getting all new weatherstripping, exterior trim bits, fasteners and clips, and on and on. I'm getting very familiar with the BMW parts catalogue.

Two big ones... actually 3.

BS C4 vette.

84 C4 with the LR4/4L65E (4.8L) with LS1 intake, HOT cam and headers for a Daily driver.

99-03 Sierra regular cab short bed, coilovers at all 4 corners, triangulated 3 link in the rear, 20gal fuel cell where the spare used to sit, empty interior, no inner fenders, Sparco seats, LQ4 (6.0L) with cam, head work, Weiand intake, headers, magnaflow 18" round mufflers turned out in front of the rear wheels, T-56, 18x9.5 wheels wrapped in 295/30/18 Hoosiers, gutted front bumper with a fiberglass skin, fiberglass rear roll pan, fiberglass hood, main hoop with harnesses. This would be my "One Lap" mobile.
