Looking at going to the Time Trial in June at Putnam Park. Might bring the family. What's you're favorite place to stay by that track?
Relevant details:
-Family of 5 with 3 kids under 10.
-Pool or water stuff a plus

The only time I ever stayed overnite for a Putnam track event was at a Motel in Cloverdale, IN.
Since I-70 runs right past the town it has a couple of motels.
Greencastle, IN is also nearby, but never stayed near there.
it's been years but last time we camped. Putnam doesn't allow camping on the grounds but other places are near by.
I saw that Putnam doesn't allow for any camping. I was looking for something like a cabin nearby, but most are 40+ minutes away.
I'd recommend against most of the options nearby. The motel was an ashtray the last time I went. Campgrounds weren't all that special. There's a few reasons my HPDE group doesn't go there anymore, and accomodations are on the list somewhere. If I had to do it again, I'd stay closer to Indy and just wake up a little earlier to get there in the morning.
There's a bar nearby where I discovered microwave pork rinds, and that was lovely.
There's nothing of note really close to the track. Greencastle has a decent hotel on DePauw's campus if you want small college town vibes, and a few bed/breakfast or VRBO types. And there's a Holiday Inn Express with indoor pool for the kiddos at the Cloverdale exit, but I can't vouch for it. Heading closer to Plainfield or even Indy will give you far more options.
