I turn to the great knowlage that is GRM, can some one help me with finding the weight of the following wheels? Any weights I throw out are figured by (wheel/tire combo) on inaccurate bathroom scale minus(-) listed tire weight
Links are sourced from JC Whitney, and are only used for illustration
14" Acclaim steel wheel 16Lb. Right now, these have my snows mounted on them. These might be good for RallyX as the holes a tiny and wont collect mud, something I found out the hard way.
15" "Y" 10 spoke 2nd gen I love the look and these are my top pick for upgrading to 15", provided I can find a set out of the parts yard.
14" 10 hole steel 12-13Lb. I have 1 and looking for 3 more. Thinking about getting them cleaned up and powder coated silver and using these with my snows.
14" R/T wheel Current wheels, 2 have some sort of bead leak, as in consistant air loss, even with new tires. Link to thread about said air loss I will get the (innacurate) weight once I have them off for some brake work.
Any ways, thank you for your help

When it comes to Neon rims, it's mighty hard to beat the Rota Slipstreams. They weigh about 12.6# each, but are very hard to find.
(I happen to have set of 15x7 gunmetals you can get, along with 615 Azenis that have never touched asphalt, for the EZpay price of only $700...)

The Kosei K1 is a little heavier at 15#. ( I happen to have a set of 15x7 in silver with some comepletely worn out Dunlops for $300)
Hmm, tirerack doesn't show the koseis as fitting due to either back spacing or offset, I'm going to have to look into that
Where does on shop for rotas?

The Koseis that fit the Neon are no longer produced to my knowledge. Mine were used on my STS autocrosser.
I bought mine from a place in California. Unless my aging memory is fading again, it was called 18racing .
Yep: http://18racing.com/
$117 each, there is a 5x100 with 35mm backspace that is awful close to Neon specific. With 225/45 15 R's, it is close to rubbing on the rear trailing link. I may have to add a spacer there. 205"s would be no problem, I think.
thanks for all the info, but I remembered I was looking at 2nd gen. wheels cause I can get a set of 4 from the parts yard for $100.
But if I was going for a non-factory, rotas are top of my list. Doesn't nasa offer a rota discount?

In order to properly fit a Neon, any 5x100mm rim needs to have a 35mm offset. Most mfgs. don't make them. Some Celicas have rims of 38mm, which fit fine after some massaging.. I happen to have a set of those, in the 15x6.5 size for the Princely sum of $100...
Also a set of AR-24s, if you're the market for Neon wheels.$120.
massaging for 38mm, what's involved? TR shows anything from 35-40mm as fitting.

The massaging has to be done to the rim, not the car; the centerbore has to be enlarged. I've already taken care of that.. they clear the hubs of a Neon just fine..
Thanks for the ideas. For E36 M3s and giggles, a look at ebay
has me wanting to buy any allow I can get from the yard and reselling them
