I disconnected our TV in 2001 and still don't miss it... all you're doing is convincing me that nothing's changed AND there's still nothing worth watching. And, with the saved time I'm building another car from scratch, so... on you for not taking charge,,, and taking a hammer to your TV.
TV??? What's a TV??? Internet? Computer??? What year is it? Where am I!?!?
I just checked in to let you guys know how cool I am for not knowing what the berkeley you're talking about.
It's funny. A few years ago I spotted a Skyline GTS-T at the local advance Auto. I was coming out as he was coming in. Canadian plates, right Hand drive. Couple of local kids were really excited to see a Skyline.. until they found out it was not a GTR. It was like somebody had blown the wind right out of their sails
What is the time frame on importing a car again? Is it 20 years or 25? The R32 is right in that 20 year time frame right? Which is the body style I tend to prefer, R32/33 anyway

Cost and projected sales not high enough to bother with Federalization. Crash/emissions/etc never even attempted as far as i know.
The cost would have been SUBSTANTIALLY higher than the Z/SX cars.
Much why the ST205 Celica GT4 wasn't brought here. Cost would have been about equal to that of a MKiv TT Supra, if not HIGHER.
Scary, because the Z32 was stupid expensive new. My '91 slicktop sticker was $29K... and that was the cheapest model you could possibly get.

25 years. IIRC first model year for the R32 was 1989. One more year to wait
In reply to BoxheadTim:
Time to start the skyline fund. :D

I am not saying the GTS is not good or even great.. but in most fan boi's eyes.. unless it is a GTR.. it is not worth it.
Personally, if I had to drive a skyline.. it would be the GTS. I do not care for all the electronics in the GTR that would make even my sister (who doesn't drive) look good behind the wheel
This is exactly the problem that irritates the crap out of me with fanbois of Skylines. The GTS is so freaking awesome, "but bro, it's not a GTR. I read on ....... forums that ......"
God I weep for the future of car enthusiast...

Skyline? It's not an 83 Camaro, I am clueless. I am too cool to know about newer cars that don't have a carburetor or have a bow tie. Can I get a 3/4 cam for it? How 'bout a Holley double pumper?
