having a super hard time finding comps to FMV wheels at, which i will be forced to use if i can't find a sweet deal on some others(might have a deal coming though on some 88-90 wheels for under $150). i'm in the boat that the FMV rule was created for - i have something i bought a long time ago that is no longer worth what was paid, and there is no receipt.

wheels are chinese 17x9.5 and 17x11 1996 corvette grand sport replicas. they are 11-12 years old and showing age - corrosion inside, chips, and clear failing on the lips. i've honestly never seen a used chinese knockoff set for sale. they were $399 delivered to my door when purchased through one of the corvette forum vendors back in 2005-6. I generally expect to pay 50% of retail for used car parts unless they're really special and chinese wheels are not special, but if anyone has any links to comps or experience that would be excellent. i literally search corvette wheels every few days on 10-15 craigslists in large areas trying to find some for sale. i could piece together a new set on ebay for a tick under $410 still so prices really haven't changed on new ones in the last decade.

How about using past Challenge sales as a FMV guidepost?
Last year I delivered some Corvette Rims from NC to FL.

I do not know what the selling price was.

In semi related talk I bought a set of chrome ZR1 replica wheels 17x9-11 in 2009 with drag radials and brand new front tires yet to be mounted for $400.

The 88 z51 factory wheels that pimpm3 got from me were bought for 75. What i paid in similar shape to yours.

My z06 knockoff wheels were 150 for the set, scruffy and used.

Hope that helps.

yeah, I'd say $100-$150, so maybe split it down the middle at $125.
